[Fully Funded] Global Leaders Fellowship Offered by George Washington University

Short Description:

The Global Leaders Fellowship is for newly graduated students (masters and doctorates) at George Washington University who will return to their countries of origin to apply the skills learned through their formal college education at the GW. The scholarship is aimed at GW graduate students who will be future leaders in their fields in their countries of origin. The offer is not opened to students enrolled in online schools.

Field of study – Master’s and doctoral degree programs at the following schools offered on the Foggy Bottom campus:

  • College of Professional Studies
  • Colombian College of Arts and Sciences
  • Elliott School of International Affairs
  • Higher School of Education and Human Development.
  • Business School (the Executive Education program is not eligible)
  • School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Number of prizes – Up to three scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants for their college education.

Objective Group – Students from the following countries or regions:

Laos, China (PRC), Eastern Europe, Caribbean, Cambodia, Latin America, Mongolia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Successor States of the United States, Vietnam

Scholarship Value / Duration:

The grantee must provide funds from other sources for books, housing and other expenses, and must provide certification of this support.

A scholarship is renewable every year for a cumulative maximum of three years for Master’s candidates and up to five years for a doctorate degree program.

Eligibility – Students who have or intend to apply for an F-1 visa and who are from the following countries or regions: China (PRC), Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Laos, Latin America, the Caribbean, Mongolia, sub-Saharan Africa, successor states of the USSR, Vietnam, are qualified to apply.

The offer is not opened to students enrolled in online schools.

This scholarship is for students who have not studied or worked in the United States or other countries, apart from their country of origin. Keep in mind that permanent residents, resident aliens and citizens of the United States are not eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must have an F-1 (J-1 visa for Fulbright applicants only), without exceptions.

Scholarships are awarded to GW’s highly qualified, full-time graduate degree program, which seeks students who have entered the University and whose program is located on the main campus of Foggy Bottom.

As part of the admission process, applicants must have passed the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 600 on the paper exam or 100 on the Internet-based exam, or a general IELTS score of 7. , 5. (Without individual band below 6.0).

Application Instructions

Students must apply for admission separately through the online process. Scholarship applicants who have not completed the application for admission, including payment of their application fee, will not be considered.
